Making Overtime

This morning I was thinking

Running along the sea

Thinking about what happened

To me

At a certain point I remember as a child

I had a paralysed brain

And a heart making overtime

Making overtime

Knocking on thick brick walls

Imprisoned in a cell so cold

Pills powder and other stuff

To tickle my brain and let the knocking stop

Knocking it off

Making overtime

How did I ever get my brain to move again

And release my heart so it can feel the fear and the pain

Making overtime

I can’t read I can only write

Can’t hear what you say

Let me talk to you

For a while

I wonder what comes after this

Ain’t it funny to be busy with

Something and just find out what it is

When it’s all over when it’s all gone

Making overtime

Terug
