People’s only passing by

She just wants somebody

Nobody sees her sorrow

Nobody wants to notice at all

And besides it isn’t easy to see

She even dresses so fine when she’s on her own

To feel her tears come drizzling

Into her heart crying all alone

 

Her eyes get wet for a second

But she keeps talking about something else

Changing the subject so swiftly

You almost forget that you came to help

 

But help is not what she needs

Denying to keep from crying

Denying she is longing for love
