My baby has let me down
Nobody would blame her
I didn’t spend enough time around her
She wasn’t even complaining
She was the best girl I ever had
I’m beginning to think I was crazy
I guess I must have been raving mad
To let the good girl slip away
I never treated her like I should
That was no way to treat a lady
Leaving her all by herself too much
She wasn’t even complaining
I don’t need a doctor I don’t need a nurse
I need complete rearranging
I look out my window and I see a church
Better start to rehearse some praying
Ooh lordy lord
How can I find peace of mind
Ooh lordy lord
She was the best I could find
Can’t ask her to come back I know it’s too late
Can’t waste anymore of her time
The way I am now it must be my fate
All alone by myself I ain’t crying
To hold on to a good thing is easily said
But it’s worth some consideration
For it can really get cold out there
Though you’ll never hear me complaining
I don’t need a doctor I don’t need a nurse
I need complete rearranging
I look out my window and I see a church
Better start to rehearse some praying
Oh lordy lord
How can I find peace of mind
Ooh lordy lord
She was the best I could find
