Still Up In The Morning

Still up in the morning

Springtime’s almost there

Heard some birds whistle

Are they already getting rare

I’ve been running and chasing

To get going what I like

Can hear me talk about good women

Can see me move as if I hide

Still up in the morning

Got to get something done before my time has come

Had little time for hearing birds cry

I remember when they used to whistle

Whistle on

Got a whole different idea

About what a summer’s got to be

We oughta be relaxing at some local foreign beach

But it shouldn’t be from working at a job 5 days a week

It oughta be from raising hell

Playing the down home dirty beat

Let it roll let it roll

Still up in the morning

Springtime never came
